Parent Mentor Program

Make a difference - become a Parent Mentor!

At ONE Northside, we believe in parent leadership and participation. We believe the public education system should be well-funded, allowing teachers, parents and children to receive the respect and support they deserve. To accomplish this vision of education justice in our North Side communities, we participate in the Parent Mentors program with the Parent Engagement Institute.

We are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated individuals to support students, teachers, and parents with us as part of our Parent Mentors team! We are recruiting new Parent Mentors in the following schools:

• Gale Community Academy
• John T. McCutcheon Elementary School
• Stephen K. Hayt Elementary School
• Horace Greeley Elementary School
• New Field Primary School
• Joyce Kilmer Elementary School
• Goudy Technology Academy
• Jordan Community School

NOW RECRUITING
* Must be a parent or guardian of a student in one of the schools named above
* No prior experience needed - required training is provided twice a week (statewide/local)
* Up to 2 stipends per school year (1 stipend per semester)
* Schedule: in the time of school days
* Hours: 4 days a weeks, 2 hours per day.
