Women Of Color Table
A space to build community, connect, recharge, and create change.
The Women of Color Table is a place to build community for women of color across issue teams. We believe organizing is the practice of change making, and it’s based on our stories and our relationships. The Women of Color Table is a space for women of color involved with our organizing campaigns to process the specific experience of being a woman of color living in this world and organizing other women of color. In this space, women of color within ONE Northside have built a supportive community that helps women grow as organizers and leaders.
This year the Women of Color Table has a focus on healing, with activities centered on nourishment and body-centered movement for restoration and rest. They are welcoming all new members, whether they have organizing experience or not, to join their monthly potlucks. They are also focusing on developing leadership skills among their members, in ways both small and large.
