The rent is too damn high! Join us for a mass meet The rent is too damn high! Join us for a mass meeting and training on Tuesday, February 3 at 6pm at the ICA building in Uptown, 4850 N Sheridan to talk about the connections between Trump, the deportation agenda, and predatory landlordism, like the raid we recently saw in South Shore. As we prepare for a second ICE surge, join us to learn how organizing your neighbors can be an important building block of resistance against ICE, rent increases and whatever else comes our way. We will also share how we are going on offense to win more funding for affordable housing from billionaires, big tech, big corporations and big oil and how you can join the fight! Register now at bit.ly/onstenants

While the Trump administration cuts funding to public services and programs our communities rely on and folks are suffering, Big Corporations and Billionaires are raking in record profits year after year after year. We demand that massive corporations, like Amazon, pay their fair share in Illinois to address the affordability crisis and expand public services. With the state legislative session just kicking off, we're joining our partners in the Illinois Revenue Alliance to make some noise and share this message: we want Billionaires and Big Corporations to pay their fair share! Join us for a lively action at the Chicago Amazon Headquarters on Wednesday, January 28 at 4:00pm if you want to tax the rich!RSVP at bit.ly/onsmbp.

Big Oil caused the climate crisis but we’re paying the price. For too long, Big Oil has made billions while our communities suffer from floods, fires, and rising temperatures. This January, we're taking action to demand climate justice. It's time to Make Polluters Pay!We're joining a national week of action demanding Big Oil companies like BP clean up their mess and pay for the damages they caused with a rally on January 29 at 10am at BP's Chicago corporate office. This movement isn’t just about one policy — it’s about a simple principle: if you cause the harm, you should help pay for the repair. Help us make noise, show our power, and raise awareness: it's time to Make Polluters Pay!RSVP at bit.ly/onsmppLas grandes petroleras causaron la crisis climática, pero somos nosotras y nosotros quienes pagamos el precio.
Confirma tu asistencia: bit.ly/onsmpp
New year, same fight! We're fighting back against New year, same fight! We're fighting back against the Billionaires, Big Tech, Big Corporations and Big Polluters that have hijacked our government and our economy. There are way more of us than there are of them, but we've got to move together-- that's what it means to be organized! If you want to be part of an organization working together for a better city, state and country, fighting for housing justice, climate justice, community safety and more, come join us!Our next New Member Orientation is on February 2 at 6pm, in person at our office, 4750 N Sheridan. RSVP at bit.ly/onsorientation or the link in our bio.

As the new year kicks off, we're taking a moment to reflect on all we accomplished in 2025. We had some big organizing wins, including Green Schools and Green Social Housing, and a huge number of folks showing up for their city and their neighbors through our events, trainings, and rapid response volunteer networks. This is how we build power to fight back against the Billionaires, Big Tech, and Big Corporations that have hijacked our economy and government at every level, and we will keep going next year, bigger and stronger than ever, 'til we win! Thank you to everyone who made this a powerful year. We faced many challenges, but we are stronger together.
We're so close to our goal of $5000 to support our We're so close to our goal of $5000 to support our rapid response work in the new year! Our Neighbor-to-Neighbor and Know Your Rights canvasses are crucial parts of our work, reaching out to our neighbors to provide help and information that they need. This work requires resources though, and support from our community to make sure we can respond to whatever Bovino and ICE throw at us next. Donate at www.onenorthside.org to help us reach our goal.
