Our vision of the future is worth fighting for. So we have one simple response to them: we won’t quit.
We have an opportunity this spring, to join with partners across Illinois, to call on Gov. Pritzker and our state lawmakers to “Trump-proof” Illinois. The state budget will be passed by May 31st. The state has the power to tax the rich and big corporations so we can fund schools, housing, safety, and a green future. It’s up to us to raise the pressure on our lawmakers now so that they pass a budget that protects working families.
Our People Over Billionaires Spring Blitz is a six-week period of trainings and actions, where we will turn up the heat on lawmakers, making sure everyone in Illinois knows exactly who is to blame for the affordability crisis we are suffering: big billionaires and big corporations. We are not going to suffer in silence, and we are not going to accept the narrative that our representatives are helpless to protect us.
Everyone has a part to play as we build power and momentum to fight back against the billionaires and big corporations that have stolen so much from us.
